I'm a firm believer in hope and happy endings.

In his unforgettable book Everything Sad Is Untrue: A True Story by Daniel Nayeri points us towards hope: "It'll be all right in the end, folks. If it's not all right, then it's not the end." 

I'm always on the lookout for possibility, and I always hold space for hope.  

I'm a writer, teacher, photographer, and avid reader. I'm a wife to a smart, funny, and kind Navy Chaplain, and we've spent the last 28 years  hopping from one adventure to the next all over the world. I'm a mom to five young adults who have my heart forever and have brought such joy and depth of meaning to my life. 

There is such goodness there, this full life I've been given, but there are a lot of really hard days, too. The life of a military family is anything but carefree, but I know you've also had your share of sorrow, disappointment, betrayal, loneliness, fear, and loss. It's the human condition. However, when it comes to hope, no one creates hope like God does. Where others fail, He comes through in the end every time. And He's come through an awful lot in the middle, too.  

We can trust Him for our happily ever after.
